WIRE FORMS

CNC wire formers can produce some of the most intrinsic shapes for simple or complicated applications.
Depending on the capabilities of the machine, a typical multi-axis CNC wire former is usually able to produce complete parts without the need for expensive secondary operations.
However, some wire forms are extremely complex and do require additional secondary operations in order to create the specified design.
Multi slide machines also have the ability to make a complete part, but have a few limitations in handling complex geometries.
A key advantage of using a multi slide machine is the ability to run at a higher speed, thus producing more parts per hour than a CNC wire former.
Each part that is quoted is evaluated in terms of ease of fabrication as well as the most cost effective method that should be used to produce it.
With wire forming very little or no additional tooling is required. Therefore, added costs are typically minimal. Wire forming is a quicker process than hand or air-bending. And NO MAXIMUM LENGTH LIMITATIONS on the length of wire used in each part.

Versatility of Wire Forming
• Form and weld wire in one operation
• Large or small runs
• Great for prototypes
• Short lead times
• Modifications and unique designs can be produced
• Small to large size wire diameters available
• Wire types – Titanium, stainless steel, steel alloys, nickel alloys, high-carbon steel and copper alloys

At no extra cost to the customer we can provide:
• Technical specifications at your request (i.e. tolerances for critical dimensions, proper size and type of material, etc.)
• SPC data on production runs.
• Design support and problem solving to ensure functionality of product at the most effective cost.
